We need to start by building our self-esteem by collecting factual examples about what has gone well and what have we learnt about ourselves recently.
These can be small things:
new job
new experience
dealt with a challenging situation
completed a deadline
helped someone
coped with a situation we were not looking forward to
The list is endless.
Write them down.
Now for the practice bit. It is important to practice being confident because if we have done things before, we know we can do them again in the future. This will ensure you will be confident about future opportunities.
To move this forward, think of times you have found yourself outside of your comfort zone. You have done it before, so you can do it again.
