We have used the People Animators for over 10 years now for a number of different leadership and development training. David is a very professional and personable trainer to work with who delivers training with ease and effectiveness. We are always cautious about appointing new providers to develop and deliver training to our employees as they struggle to understand our culture and our needs. I have worked with David for many years, firstly as a participant in the training he ran for the organisation I worked for. When we needed to train our staff, I turned to David to deliver this for us. He understands the key issues of what we are trying to achieve and then is able to effectively translate this in to a course. What has always impressed me with David is his ability to tackle the keys issues head on. Inevitability some people think training is not important or they don’t need it, David is able to bring these people around very quickly and gain full engagement of all participants. He is not shy in tackling the more challenging issues and actively encourages people to say what they are thinking. People leave his training thinking differently and ready to apply this in the working environment. People are our biggest asset and having an engaged and motivated workforce is fundamental to our organisation. David helped get across the need to think and act differently to a changing sales environment. His method is very effective as he takes things that are common to everybody and then works these back to the working environment, showing how change is needed and how to approach this. He gives practical skills to facilitate change and ways to overcome challenges.
David ran a series of management training and development courses with myself and my team, following some previous work with the company several years earlier. From the opening conversations of developing the bespoke training sessions through to the completion of the last session, David was a pleasure to work with and the way that he delivered all of the sessions was professional and motivational, whilst remaining light hearted and humorous. All of the sessions were mapped out in advance from our planning conversations and presented clearly in our own series of booklets. The training itself enabled our management team to become more inspirational leaders and developed all of our coaching and training skills. The sessions were well paced and structured, and included the right mix of practical and theory based sections. And since running the sessions, 3 of the attendees have since been promoted through the ranks by utilising the skills learnt from the training! Overall we would all recommend David highly for anyone looking to develop their management teams approach to leadership, training and coaching.

We have worked with David and The People Animators for some years now, delivering a number of Customer Service focused training days. We find David’s training days invaluable; the team are always excited to hear that we have one coming up, and look forward to attending the day. They come away feeling that they’ve had their knowledge and skills refreshed, they are re-motivated, and ready to put their new ideas and skills in to practice.
Some training courses are fun on the day, but fail to deliver anything once participants are back in the work place; The People Animators deliver real, practical solutions, tools and skill sets that we can absolutely see being implemented as soon as team members are back at their desks.
David takes time to understand the business, the environment we’re working in and the current market conditions, as well as any specific challenges facing us at the time of training. We discuss what we want the teams to learn and take away from the day, whether it be a broad set of skills, or something very specific that we are working on as a business. David uses pre-course questionnaires to gather specific examples from the delegates related to their roles, so that the training feels very personal and each delegate can relate to case studies presented. This also means that we can address real life problems, and delegates can take away practical solutions for something they might be experiencing there and then.
The training is delivered in a relaxed and inclusive style, which encourages everyone to participate. We find that even new team members feel confident enough to contribute and get involved; the relaxed training style in turn allows all delegates to relax and feel comfortable too. The language used is down to earth, no jargon, meaning that everyone can relate easily to themes and ideas being discussed. David is extremely knowledgeable, and is able to share that knowledge in a way that everyone can access. We cannot recommend The People Animators highly enough – you won’t be disappointed!
